UNESCO names 16 new Global Geoparks

Today UNESCO designated 16 new geoparks, bringing the total number of sites in the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network to 229 in 50 countries. Two UNESCO Member States join the network: Saudi Arabia and

Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Warm Congratulations to the New Geoparks!
